One of the many (OH SO MANY!) wonderful things I wasn’t aware of before becoming pregnant was the dramatic u turn my face would take. From beautiful, youthful and healthy looking skin to a dry, flaky and easily irritated mess. I’ve always been happy with my skin and skin care routine, which has been pretty cheap and rather basic. However, the recent couple of weeks has me hardly recognising what I see when I look in the mirror.
After trying a number of lower end products with no success I decided to venture in to the high end and see if I was going to get what I was actually looking for. Thankfully I found the sign of relief my poor skin and lips had been looking for in Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream Intensive Lip Repair Balm, Lip Protectant Stick and the Intensive Daily Moisturizer. All of which were on offer in Boots 3 for 1, so instead of costing me a whopping £70 it was a still a whopping £50.
I definitely won’t be looking back now and would pay double the price for the results I’ve gotten, especially my lips the difference has already brought my confidence right back up. Normally I wouldn’t look twice at a lip product that cost £20, but with little persuading from my partner if we can’t treat ourselves during pregnancy when can we?
Of course it’s not going to work for everyone and most people, including myself before baking this little person, is happy with lower end skin care products I was pleasantly happy to find out I wasn’t mainly paying for the Elizabeth Arden name but in fact getting the treatment my skin was screaming out for.
