Glossybox Review – April Nostalgia

Until last month I had never tried any beauty or subscription boxes before. In March I decided I wanted to give one a try and chose Glossybox, because it was very pink and pretty. I enjoyed the whole process a lot, the excitement of not knowing what exactly you’re going to get is such fun. When April came around I signed up to receive both the Glossybox and the Birchbox.

April’s Glossybox is dedicated to all things Nostalgia, with inspiration from the 50’s, 70’s and 90’s. Bringing a fresh twist on some old classics.

Karl Lagerfeld + Model Co Baked Blush (Rose Beige)

I have to say this blush is very glowy and brightening, I definitely wouldn’t need a highlighter whilst wearing this. It gives a natural glow that does last all day long.

Carmex Strawberry Lip Balm

This lip balm is quite literally bursting with strawberry flavour. I’ve not stopped using this since the first time I tested. It has my lips feeling smooth and moisturised all day. Another big positive is that it contains SPF15 meaning my lips will be protected all through Spring and Summer and nourished during Autumn and Winter.

Affect Cosmetics Matt Effect Transparent Loose Rice Powder

I’ve got to be honest here. I’m not really one for using makeup setters since I’m pretty lacking in the makeup skills, but I’ve tried this once and I had no issues with it.

Eyeko London FAT Liquid Eyeliner

Again, something I don’t really use much, if at all. I tried this on the back of my hand and the lines it creates are bold and smooth. Once it dried it was pretty much smudge proof.

Modellauncher Safari Bronzer

This leopard print bronzer is pretty and long lasting. I tried it once when the was out and it kept me glowing all day. I’m looking forward to using it more once the Spring/Summer weather finally appears.

I’ve had two Glossybox boxes up to now and I’m impressed with the wide range of products I’ve gotten up to now. I’ll be keeping my subscription going for the foreseeable future.

If you’re looking to subscribe to Glossybox click here to receive 20% off of your first box. This also helps me out too.
