Pregnancy Update – Week 26

I’ve seriously loved being pregnant, but my word it’s uncomfortable. I was definitely not prepared for the fact I would never feel comfort again. (Dramatic much?) If you are planning on having a baby then please, for the love of your bladder, get yourself a toilet to plumb in your bedroom. Maybe this is such a big issue for me because our toilet is downstairs in the absolute coldest part of the house.

Now I’m not saying I have ever had the grace of ballerina, in fact the furthest from it, but literally none of my movements are swift. I’m having to do three point turns to even start turning over in bed now. Even when I finally turn over, baby decides that position wasn’t what she wanted and performs some sort of attack on my insides until I turn back over.

Baby Peach hasn’t had the hiccups once this week! Sigh of relief from me. I love the movements, but the hiccuping makes me cringe for some reason. My mum told me I had the hiccups at least once everyday throughout most of her pregnancy with me, let’s hope this little one has eased off of them now!

I decided this week to change my diet up a bit. I’ve started eating so much fruit that I think I’m turning into an apple, though that could just be the weight gain… I bought a new water bottle in hopes it would make me drink way more water than I have been. It’s definitely working and I’m putting that down to the fact it doesn’t look as boring as drinking out of a glass does. I have switched my normal morning cereal and/or toast to Special K with Peach and Apricot which I am really enjoying, not sure if it’s the healthiest option though. – If anybody has any tips on anything I could change or introduce then I’m open to suggestions. I have no idea what I am doing to be honest.

Little one still doesn’t have a name, though we have got a list of a couple we both like. I’m thinking we won’t know until she’s born. Well, hopefully we know then or she’ll be sticking with Peach!

Thank you so much! That mean a great deal. It’s going to be something nice to look back on and remember. (Apart from the toilet runs, which I’m sure I’ve mentioned too much already 😂)

The one thing that started making me drink more water was by adding fruits to it to flavor it! I mostly do lemon water! It helped me give up soda and now I drink 6+ glasses a day at least! I felt like i was pregnant for foreverrr cause little tedious things would go wrong. Before you know it youll be holding your bundle of joy. <3

That’s a really good idea, I’m finding it difficult to drink when it’s not freezing cold so I’ll certainly give it a try. It already feels like forever, especially since I can’t walk around for long without some sort of pain kicking in! It’s very lovely and very very annoying at the same time. Thanks for commenting x

Yep! I just make a huge pitcher and cut them up and leave them in he fridge so the waters always cold. I refill it and use each set of lemons 3 times. Hope you feel better!

I’m definitely trying this today. The pretty water bottle helps a little, but the fruit would be a welcome upgrade already.

It’s really difficult eating wisely during pregnancy as your taste buds change so drastically. So just eat what makes you happy. X

Very true, my tastebuds have done a total turnaround. It’s absolutely baffling, ha. Thank you for your lovely comment 💗 x

I’ve been uncomfy since I was 14 weeks! I’m now 30 weeks (on Friday) and actually finding it easier to sleep! either that or I’m just so used to it now, good luck with the res of your pregnancy! x

I had no idea how uncomfortable pregnancy was. Either no one mentioned it to me, or I thought they were exaggerating! Here’s hoping it gets easy breezy for both of us from here. At least if I have another baby I’ll be more aware of the discomfort and hopefully be on a house with upstairs bathroom! Haha x
